Why was I charged $30 without any upgrades?

    My credit card was charged $30 by WPCHRG.COM. I went to the website, which described I must have somehow upgraded my wordpress account. I did not – although I had recently purchased a domain through a different service and manually exported and imported my content from my wordpress.com account to the new domain. I don’t remember entering credit card info in or requesting any sort of paid service. My wordpress.com account does not show any upgrades and I can not even find the upgrade section on my domain dashboard.

    Any ideas what this charge is for or how to figure this out/cancel it? I can’t follow WP’s instructions to cancel, since I can’t find any upgrades to begin with.

    Can you tell me when the charge to your credit card was made exactly?

    To help me investigate this further, I would need a Paypal Transaction ID. You may get this by calling up Paypal at these numbers:

    1-888-221-1161 (USA)
    1-402-935-2050 (outside the U.S.)

    Have your credit card number ready as well as the WPCHRG.COM reference number (which should be printed in your statement). Please jot down the transaction ID and get back to me with it as soon as you can.
