Why was linking to our own content pages removed?

I noticed that the new editor no longer allows us to search for our own content pages when adding a link. I used this feature quite a bit in the old editor and found it incredibly convenient. Now I either have to look up my other articles manually and copy and paste the URLs, or else revert back to the old editor, which otherwise isn’t as easy to use as the new one.

    Why was this feature removed?

I have exactly the same problem. And when I go to the pages and copy their URL it doesn’t work. Just sends me and everyone else to the “sign in” page. How do I revert back to the old editor? It worked great with links from one of my pages to another.

Strangely enough, even though I’ve opted into the new editor a great many times, and I always get the new editor when I start an article, I still get the old editor every time I edit an article, even if it’s an unpublished draft. I’ve been using that as a loophole – first write the article, let the draft auto-save, exit the editor, then go back in to edit it when I want to add the links.

Yes exactly what a disaster. I always used internal links – which was made so easy – from my blog and now I can’t do it anymore! Who are these clowns responsible for the ‘upgrade’ that is a big downgrade? Did you people use to work for Yahoo or Microsoft? Because you are competing with them to give their customers ever worse products and new improved upgrades that are disastrous and idiotic. Other problems as well with WordPress that did not exist before. WordPress is deteriorating rapidly. It’s at the level of livejournal and in fact may sink below that soon enough.
