Why was only the title of my post published, not the post itself?

I spent a long time typing a long post entitled “Leavetaking”. When I pressed “publishh” only the title was published and not the post. When I checked Autosaves, there was only some meaningless series of letters/characters. It is not in Trash or Drafts. Please do not ask me to do anything complicated. Please just retrieve it for me or tell me simply how to do so. i am very annoyed by this Thankyou! N

Did you initially copy this post from elsewhere, like Microsoft Word or another website?

The only non-blank revision that we have for this post only has the word “First.”
It looks like you’ll unfortunately have to re-do it.
