Why wasn't my last post e-mailed to followers?
-
When I published my last post on Wednesday evening, Feb. 19 (Feb. 20 @ 1:13:19 a.m. on WP time zone) there was a delay due to “server maintenance” at the time. I was instructed to refresh the browser in 5 minutes, which I did.
It appeared the post had been published, and according to the stats it is, but I did not receive my usual instant e-mail notification (I subscribe myself to make sure the follower’s have been notified). I’m presuming none of my followers received an e-mail either. It also did not go to my Facebook page link. I updated the FB contact as I was instructed to do as well.
Did something happen in conjunction with your server maintenance and if so, should I copy & re-post that entry all over again?
Thank you

Hey Susan,
There was a brief period on Feb. 19th when our servers were down for maintenance. It looks like your post was published successfully. How are you currently subscribed to your blog? It doesn’t look like your WordPress.com username is subscribed. The email address you have registered with WordPress.com doesn’t appear to be subscribed either. Please let know how you’re currently subscribed, and I’ll investigate further!

I am subscribed via my msn e-mail address. I added another short post to that particular one and when I published it all was working just fine. It came to my inbox instantly. Something must have glitched during your server maintenance. All seems to be fine right now. Thanks for the reply!

Not a problem Susan! I’m glad we were able to get this resolved. Please let me know if it acts up again!
