Why were my followers not notified of the latest new post?

  Hi there

  I recently wrote a new post but have discovered that none of the people who have entered their email addresses and become “followers” were notified of the new post,

  Could you tell me why this may have happened?

  Please let me know to which post you are referring to, and how do you know they weren’t notified.

  Note that each follower can edit their following settings at this page. Here they can also turn on/off e-mail notifications.

  Thanks for your reply. The reason I know an email wasn’t sent was I asked several people and none of them received an email.

  I had originally told people by putting their email address in the box at the bottom right hand corner of Olivia’s blog they would get an email each time there is a new post.

  Is this not right and would that explain it?

  That’s the way to do it, but they’ll also receive an activation email after doing that. If they don’t click the link to activate their subscription, they won’t receive emails.

  At this time, the blog does have 18 activated followers, with the most recent confirmed 2 weeks ago.

  Which was the post that didn’t go out?

  The post was “Making a statement”
  Is there anyway to repost it to trigger an email?

  Yes, if you delete the post (make sure you also remove it from the trash), then publish it again, it will resend.

  I don’t see any reason for why this one didn’t go out.
