Why when i reblog a post, wordpress does not publicize it to FB/Twitter?

    Everytime i write a post on my blog, wordpress inmediatly publicize it to my facebook and twitter accounts. but when i reblog a post i like that doesn´t happen, why? it only works on the post i write? do i need to set up something?
    I´ve seen friends on twitter with accounts on Tumblr and when they reblog it shows up on twitter. do i need to tweet it myself? thanks for all your help.
