Why will my user name work to log onto wordpress but not my website…which is wordpress?

  I cannot log on to my site. I type in my user name and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried other variations and they didn’t work. But when I logged on to wordpress.org my user name worked fine and I saw all my stats. From there tried to navigate to my site, had to log on, same thing, the user name I just used for wordpress didn’t work. What do I do?????

  Your website is NOT a WordPress.COM website. That is why your WordPress.COM login does not allow you to login to your website.

  When you purchased hosting from A Small Orange, and installed WordPress in your hosting account, you had to choose a username and password.
