Why won’t be images resize the thumbnails when I set them as thumbnails?

I keep trying to reset my images as thumbnail size, but they appear as large or medium. Here’s an example page: https://angleswriters.wordpress.com/andrew-stickland/
In the editor, I select image then select thumbnail but it won’t change the size on the website. What am I doing wrong? ThanksWP.com: Yes

Hmm, that shouldn’t happen. If you create a Columns Block with an image and text in different columns, or if you use Media&Text Block, is the image still too big?
