Why won't "Click here to activate mccaffertyrudd.com" on dashboard work?

A couple of days ago (Nov., 20, I believe), I decided to buy the address/url/whatever it’s called “mccaffertyrudd.com” for my blog that is currently at “mccaffertyrudd.wordpress.com”. I paid $17 plus the extra $8 for info privacy. The site hasn’t shown up yet, after about 2 1/2 days. I noticed that the dashboard for mccaffertyrudd.wordpress.com says at the top “Tip: You’re one step away from using mccaffertyrudd.com as your blog address. Click here to activate mccaffertyrudd.com.”

Well, I have tried clicking it several times. Each time I do, it disappears for a few seconds, then it comes back, saying the same thing. So I am confused. I would like to get the new site activated as soon as possible. Can you help me figure out what I need to do to get it to work? Thanks for your help–Margo Rudd

  • I don’t know why that link wasn’t working, but I went to the domains page in your dashboard and set your new domain to be the primary, and it seems to be working great now:

Don’t forget to update your link in your profile, and start promoting your new site in your email signature. Your site already looks good can’t wait to see how it develops when you fill out the rest of the pages. :)
