Why won't infographic code display as a graphic?
-
I have: 1. Cleared my cache; 2. Cleared by cookies; 3. Run all my updates–and STILL, my when I copy the code for infographics it refuses to display AS a graphic–it displays as a code–or sometimes with the link, but never with the picture. I am extremely disappointed. What can I do to make the code work as it should?

The piece I did publish, because I couldn’t wait, is called “They say there’s no such thing as schizophrenia? We politely disagree” and is at http://candidaabrahamson.wordpress.com/2013/05/17/they-say-theres-no-such-thing-as-schizophrenia-we-politely-disagree/. If you head over there you should immediately see that instead of an excellent infographic, I have a tiny little box.
[Their code, which I inserted, was :
<img src=”http://www.bestmedicaldegrees.com/schizophrenia/mind.jpg” alt=”Schizophrenia: The Broken Mind” width=”500″ border=”0″ />
Source: BestMedicalDegrees.comAnd one page I just simply won’t post yet, although the moment is rapidly approaching when I’ll need to. In that case the code is “ <img src=”http://www.livescience.com/images/i/20916/i02/go-figure-migraine-111011.jpg?1318430742″ alt=”Headache? Find out all about migraines in today’s GoFigure infographic.” width=”575″ border=”1″/>
Source:LiveScience,” properly embedded, and. . .a preview of that part of the post looks like this:
But there is one thing that keeps these three From going, and it stops my brother from working, keeps my stepfather in bed and from learning, and actually keeps my mother from the gym, which is an astounding event.
It’s a migraine headache

Source:LiveScienceI’m quite upset about it–they always worked before, and they’re a big part of our presentation. I truly hope you can help us–we even went Premium to receive the support.
Thank you in advance, Rhona and Candida

Ok, I’ll focus on the first one, since they all seem to have the same problem.
In the first one, the image URL is entered as http://852e9a74-600d-44c6-872a-2f50de32a40f/schizophrenia.jpg which of course isn’t a URL, there’s no domain.
Where are you getting the embed code from?

The infographic is the main component of the site, which http://www.bestmedicaldegrees.com/schizophrenia/. The very first words on the site are: “Share this infographic on your site!” That is followed by the code, which I copy again here just to make sure I didn’t do it wrong the firs time: “<img src=”http://www.bestmedicaldegrees.com/schizophrenia/mind.jpg” alt=”Schizophrenia: The Broken Mind” width=”500″ border=”0″ />
Source: BestMedicalDegrees.com.”It would be quite odd if something were faulty in this infographic, but I suppose not unheard of. But for something to be inherently wrong with the second one I tried in a week seems too odd.
I appreciate your help in this–something is up.

Hm, that code should work just fine.
Make sure that you paste it into the Text editor tab, not the Visual editor tab.

You are my Infographic Hero! I changed it to Visual, and, as you thought, the infographic popped right up. If I may, while I have you, on the same topic, ask this:
The website for the National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month (http://www.ahmablog.com/mham.html) offers everyone to use their logo, at http://www.ahmablog.com/mhaw_2013/MHAM2013Logo.gif. I wanted to take advantage of that, and tried several ways to get the logo in my post, trying by:
1. Just cutting and pasting the picture, and
2. Cutting and pasting the code.Whether in text or visual the picture just shows us as a tiny little rectangle. I know you’ve put in so much time already–but would you be willing, please, to help with one more graphic issue?
I thank you so much.

It would probably be better to just download the image to your computer, then upload/insert it like any image. That way, it won’t “break” if they ever move it.
