Why won't JetPack connect to lawnotes.com self-hosted blog?

  My self-hosted WordPress blog is at http://www.lawnotes.com. Jetpack won’t connect to it. The error is HTTP 412; the message on the JetPack page is “site_inaccessible”

  Please try and contact your hosting provider / registrar, as they are likely blocking all requests to xmlrpc.php by default. The support team there can give you some code to put in your .htaccess file that will solve the problem.

  Thanks for the response, but I don’t think I’ll do as you suggest, because you haven’t “sold” the idea that JetPack’s potential benefits are worth spending the time.
