why won't my blog land on my latest posts when the settings show that it is?

  Can you please help as for weeks now of searching for an answer on forums and on wordpress itself, I still have not managed to solve the problem. I originally set my blog to land on my latest posts, but it never did that, it lands on one particular post from last year which I don’t remember setting as a home page, but I have tried numerous times to reset it to ‘latest posts’ but to absolutley no avail, and nothing online seems to mention this particular problem. HOw can I rest my blog so that it really does land on my latest post????

  Your leading post is marked “Featured.” It is not a category or a tag, so I’m guessing that it’s probably a sticky post. Try removing the sticky designation of the post in the visibility drop-down menu of the publish module in your post editor, or at All Posts. I think that will solve the problem.

  Your second post on the front is dated April 19, 2015. Until you create a new post, that will replace the sticky as the leading post.
