WHY WON’T MY COMMENTS SHOW UP ON OTHERS WORDPRESSES

HELP-I TRY TO POST COMMENTS ON OTHER WORD PRESS SITES LOGGED IN AND LOGGED OUT OF MY WORDPRESS ACCOUNT AND NONE OF MY COMMENTS POST AND I CONTACTED SUPPORT BUT THEY DIDN’T RESPOND

The owners of those blogs might have turned on comment moderation, in which case your comment will show up when (and if) the blog owner approves it.

It can’t be a case of moderation on. And it doesn’t matter whether i just try to say hi or not. It doesn’t post at all. But, if I leave a comment on my site it posts right away. Support e-mailed me saying the same thing as you all, so I guess that means I’m not banned from commenting,so I have no clue what’s up. Mike92 I’m going to post a hi on your site. Could you please let me know if you get it and thanks to everyone for your help.

WELL I LIKE TO LEAVE ALOT OF COMMENTS BECAUSE IT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL GOOD TO SEE COMMENTS ON THEIR SITES, SO WE’RE TALKING LIKE 30 DIFFERENT SITES. YOUR TRYING TO SAY THEY ARE ALL MODERATED? WELL, YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT BECAUSE I LEFT A COMMENT ON MIKE92’S SITE SAYING TESTING AND HE POSTED SO I GUESS IT IS MODERATION. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP.

I’m having a similar problem. but I don’t think it’s because comments are being moderated. When I post to a site that’s being moderated it usually says something about comments needing to be approved. But recently I will just post to someone’s blog and the comment disappears, doesn’t say anything about comment awaiting moderation. It’s getting really frustrating.

If you know the blogger, or if there is a contact form, contact them and ask them to check their spam comments for your comment. You can also try leaving a comment on my test blog at http://opposablethumbz.wordpress.com/ and I will see if it gets caught in the spam filter.

Thanks, I’ll do a test comment now. There’s one particular blog I’m trying to comment on that I don’t have the blogger’s contact info so I can’t ask them about it. Grrr.

I posted a test comment on your blog. It didn’t show up. I tried it a second time and this is what it gives me:
“Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!”
But it doesn’t show up on your blog.
Le sigh.

I’ve also tried signing out of my WordPress and trying to comment by just filling in my info. Still, no luck.

Your comment ended up in my Akismet spam filter. I despammed you, but it may take several times for Akismet to learn that you are not spam. If you have some blogging buddies, I would suggest leaving comments on their blogs as well and having them despam you. Hopefully in a day or two, you will no longer get caught.

If you think about it, it makes total sense that mdgirl314 was being moderated. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF THE ALL CAP HYSTERIA!

Thanks for your help. I have been emailing my blogger friends to de-spam my comments. It’s still happening though. I wonder how long it will take till it stops. I’m wondering why it started. I’ve been blogging for over a year and this is the first time this has happened. Wonder what I did/can do to prevent it?!!!

Not to be gloomy Gus, but I’ve seen it work in a couple days, and I’ve seen times where after two weeks friends were still being caught.
