Why won’t my documents (word or PDF) show up as links?

  I have been using wordpress as a repository for worksheets for my students – loading word docs or PDF files. Until the recent change they have shown as links – now I get the title appearing on the page but not the active link. I’m still using the “star” on the add media display and it still steps me through the “Browse” and “Upload” stages…it looks identical until it gets to the actual page.
