Why won't my email address confirm so I can publish my first blog?

  I am trying to publish my first block. It is telling me I have to confirm my email address. I noticed a typo in my email address so I went into settings to correct it. It then sent me a “confirmation email” telling me to click on the link to change it. I did that and now it just keeps looping and looping. This is the first time I have ever used WorkPress, so I have not used this email address before, which is (email visible only to moderators and staff). HELP!
