Why won't my new website come up on a Google or Firefox searches?

  I set up my new site 3 days ago but still can’t access it on either Chrome or Firefox. I checked and double checked all the “publish” options are on, but still nothing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I set up my new site 3 days ago but still can’t access it on either Chrome or Firefox. I checked and double checked all the “publish” options are on, but still nothing. I did change the domain name (to Raglan Road Reunion) but that was over 48 hours ago.

  Hi there!

  I had a couple other staff member do searches along with me, and it looks like Google has indexed your site:

  

  Some of us did get this message instead of the preferred preview text:

  

  This is really common when a site is initially set to Private, and then becomes open. It should clear up for everyone after being set to public for several days — 3 days isn’t really long enough to tell.

  A couple ways to speed up that process with Google is to verify your site with Google’sWebmaster Tools, and then to post some additional content. Whenever you create new posts, our SEO systems reports to Google that your site should be indexed again.

  Thanks very much Alex, my site is coming up now via the search engines. Reducing the size of the front page image seemed to do the trick!
