Why won't my personal blog show up on Google search?

    Hi folks,

    I have a personal blog that’s been up on WordPress for around 2-3 months now. I’ve got my name (it’s a pretty unique name) showing up on a couple of pages on my website already, yet Google doesn’t seem to find my blog! How can I get it to show up on Google? Do I need to pay for the WordPress premium to get some sort of plug in that makes Google index my site??

    (PS – I’ve already enabled the “Allow search engines to index this site” setting)

    Hey there!

    It can take some time before a new website shows up on Google, oftentimes 4-6 weeks or more.

    This article provides a few tips on what you can do to help speed up this process, such as working specific keywords into your articles, site and page titles, and URL slugs, and posting more regularly.

    Posting regularly is one of the best ways to increase your site’s visibility on Google. Each time you post, WordPress will ping Google and other search engines to index your site, so the more often you post, the faster this process will complete.
