Why won’t my pictures scroll?

When I click on the picture to make it large, then hit the right arrow to scroll, the image freezes and won’t move to the next one or close when I try hitting the ‘x’. I tried deleting the images then uploading direct to the media library, then I tried deleting them and uploading direct onto the page into the gallery. I don’t have any plugins.

The images on the site are working fine for me – so is the x to close the image and the arrows to navigate. I’m on the latest version of Chrome – maybe try clearing your cache or an alternative browser to test?

Thank you for responding. I tried the clear cache, I also have the latest Chrome and it still didn’t work. I tried on Internet Explorer and they wouldn’t pop up at all. I tried on Microsoft Edge and it worked fine. As long as it works for others, I guess that’s the main thing. :)

It’s worth pointing out that Microsoft is retiring the Internet Explorer browser (it has been falling out of date with modern website coding trends for some time) and they officially recommend switching to the Edge browser instead: https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2021/05/19/the-future-of-internet-explorer-on-windows-10-is-in-microsoft-edge/
We also note here that we don’t officially support Internet Explorer as well, so it is not recommended for WordPress in particular: https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#supported-browsers
