Why won't my profile update and load an image?

I keep trying to update my profile and add a blavatar/gravater–I do what I’m supposed to, click “update”, it indicates “profile saved”–I’ve uploaded the image several times–AND IT STILL DOESN’T APPEAR ON MY SITE. I’ve cleared my cache, allowed 3rd party cookies…what’s wrong? These seem to be chronic problems, especially with my avatar/blavatar/gravatar.

Your blavatar and your gravatar are two different things. Your blavatar is a setting which is updated within your blog in the Settings menu. Your gravatar however is updated at the Gravatar.com site. You can log in there using your same username and password as at WordPress.com and update your gravatar there!

And none of it works….My desired image has been sitting on my “settings” for days, but does not appear on my posts. I’ve updated the gravatar, and that doesn’t take either.

Hi there,
I went and took a look at your Gravatar.com account and it looks like you had an image of a man in a hat uploaded but not selected as your gravatar. I took the liberty of selecting it for you. If you’d like to upload a different one, you can follow these directions:
Go to My Account > Manage My Gravatars, and click Add a New Image. You will be able to select an image, crop, and rate it.
G-rated Gravatars will appear on most Gravatar enabled sites. Then you can assign your image to your email address.

You meant well….but it took me days to get rid of that one!!!! Can you eliminate it?? And how do I get into “my account”?

Well, my blavatar is changed to what I wanted–a rose in a fist. The gravatar is still the guy with the hat, but I want that changed too.
