why wont my recent posts show up?
-
I switched to Zuki. Been trying to figure out the widgets. Got the front static page thing together, then all the widgets stopped showing up at all – I made a lot of changes, back and forth – and I noticed my posts for October and November weren’t showing up. My blog starts with September. ? I tried clearing cache, logging out and back in. Nada. Please help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
Zuki has some pretty extensive documentation for getting the widget areas on the front page up and running:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/zuki/support/
Can you check out those instructions and let me know specifically where you’re encountering trouble?

Hi –
Thanks for sending that doc. I understand how to use the widgets. But they’re not working. They don’t show up. If you look at my blog you’ll see under the main slider, it’s empty because my recent posts won’t show up. It’s like they’re being blocked somehow. Then, when I tried to go back to my old, traditional blog format, the earliest thing that showed up was September. October and November are gone. Please help.

One more thing, the missing posts are still in my back end. They show up fine in my dashboard.

Sorry for misunderstanding! It looks like you’ve changed to Bloggy. I’m happy to take a look at this. Would you be willing to switch back to the Zuki theme so I can take a look?

OMG, your timing is terrible LOL I checked back all morning hoping for exactly that reply from you, but now I’ve requested a refund for Zuki. I can’t have my site looking like hell, I’m hunting for work. It sucks because Zuki is a beautiful theme..
What you could do is give me step by step instructions on how to make my blog my web site. Meaning, when people click kellyewhitney.com, kellyewhitney.wordpress.com will come up.
I host kellyewhitney.com through yahoo. I own the domain thru 2016 I think,

We have a step-by-step guide for that process here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
In short, you’ll need to purchase the Domain Mapping upgrade ($13 per year) here at WordPress, then change the nameservers at Yahoo to point to WordPress.com.
Once that connection is working, you can even select kellyewhitney.com as your primary domain so your readers only see kellywewhitney.com, but it’s your WordPress.com site.
Best,
