Why wont my scheduled posts publish on time?
-
When I schedule a post to publish later or the next day I am finding that it will not publish without me logging in to WordPress or trying to pull up my blog online. Is there a reason why the posts will not release on time?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy,
The posts should publish at the correct time, without an action on your part. Can you send me a link to a post that published late so I can investigate further?
Thank you!

This happened a couple of times. More recently with these two posts:

Howdy again,
Reading back to your original post, I may have misread part of it. Scheduled posts will appear the first time that anyone visits any page on your blog after the scheduled time. You, personally, aren’t required to take any action.
Anytime anyone visits your blog (or a search engine scans your page, etc), the system runs a quick check for any scheduled posts and if any are scheduled to go live. For anyone visiting, they’ll see the post without delay.
If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!

Oh, Ok. I just assumed it would go live at that time no matter what. Now I understand.
Do the people who subscribe still get an email when the post is scheduled to release or do they only get notified when someone has activated the post by visiting the site?

That’s a reasonable assumption to make. The e-mail is generated when it is “activated”. I can very much understand your assumption.
I’ll bring it up to the team as something to reconsider. Thanks for your understanding.
