Why won't my website export?

  I would like to backup this website to another wordpress site, but the export is not working properly It is quite a large file, but I do want the entire site to be exported. After a short period of time of downloading, an error message appears of “Goshdarnit! Something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault. We’ve just been notified of the problem. Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.”

  What is the URL of the blog? Have you tried breaking the export up by dates or by categories?

  Breaking up the file into separate files worked, so I’m good now. Thank you.
