Why won't number of followers include new Tumblr followers?

  I have connected my Twitter and Tumblr to publicize my WordPress. However, new Tumblr followers are not counted in my number of WordPress followers.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I just took a look at your blog, and I see that you have a total of 339 followers. This number does include your Tumblr followers. You can see the breakdown on your stats page here: http://wordpress.com/my-stats/

  The box “Totals, Followers, and Shares” includes the number of WordPress.com and email followers, Twitter followers, and Tumblr followers. That adds up to the total you see on your blog.

  Thank you! :) I have gotten more Tumblr followers, and it didn’t seem that the number of Tumblr followers has updated?

  Ah, I see what you mean. :) It may take some time for the follower count to update on our end, or you can try reconnecting Tumblr to try to speed things up: Publicize – Reconnecting Services
