Why won't the spacing I enter between paragraphs stay put?

  I tried to put spaces between paragraphs (like a good writer should!) but every time I hit save or update or preview the spaces disappear! Now the post looks like one giant blob.

  To add line breaks instead of paragraph breaks, use Shift+Enter in the Visual Editor, or type in the HTML editor. Please the Visual Editor and HTML Editor to learn more about them.
