Why Won't WordPress.com Let Me Fully Delete Everything

  So…I’ve long deleted my blog but last night went onto another favorite blog of mine to read and notice my avatar in the upper right. I clicked to find I still have a WP.com account. After doing some research and searching justdeleteme.com I see that WP.com is listed as “impossible” which brought me to ask why: Why won’t WP.com allow people to fully delete their accounts if they want to? Are you in service to some governmental agency and wish to be a repository of former user information for their future needs? Or are you selling our information to the highest bidder? If I want to fully delete my account and all information I should be able to rather than as their forum blog suggests “Change your username and password to something you won’t remember that way you can no longer access your account.” If the demonic Mark Zuckerberg will allow people to do a full delete of a FB account then why can’t I do a delete here?!
