Why's my blog protected? Can't post link on Google community
-
For some reason, when I try and post my blog link (http://shucksadoaboutnothing.wordpress.com) into Google+, it says ‘Protected blog > log in’.
Thing is, all my posts / pages are ‘public’ so not sure why it’s doing this! Have cleared my Chrome cache but nada!
HELLPPPPP
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
All support docs are found here http://support.wordpress.com
Type “privacy settings” into the search box and get this http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=privacy+settings
Results here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
To change blog visibility to PUBLIC go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 1 . -
If your blog ever WAS private, then Google will have it listed as Private and won’t update that status until you have some incoming links from other websites indicating that your blog is public. This is a common problem for people who start out setting their blogs to private till they’re happy with the way the theme looks, then go public and wonder why nobody can find them. You may have to wait a number of weeks.

The site was private when I posted above. I checked. Now it’s public but it wasn’t then.

@raincoaster
BTW I never ever make my sites private so I can twiddle for exactly the reason you stated above. -
Thank you both for being so quick to respond. I’ve found the settings under blog visibility as you suggested – thank you!
