Widely Theme – How to remove blog posts from front page
-
Hi folks,
I’m using the Widely theme and really love it, but I’ve just made my first blog post and it’s now appeared on the front page of my blog at the bottom (which I have set to a static front page). Is there a way to stop them from appearing on there?
Many thanks in advance,
R

Hi,
https://inkslingeretc.wordpress.com/ is presently using the Penscratch theme, and the homepage is a static page with no posts displayed. Have you resolved the issue, or do you still wish to address the issue with respect to the Widely theme? -
Widely’s static front page does display the latest posts, unlike most themes. You could still hide recent posts in Widely with some custom CSS, but switching themes to one that better suits your needs, as you did, is probably a better solution.

Hi, thank you both for your comments. I have switched to a new theme but I would still be interested to know if it’s possible to hide blog posts on the home page as the Widely theme worked great for me otherwise. Is there a way to do this without the Custom Design upgrade?
Thanks,
