Widely theme photo slide

Hello,
I am having some issues with showing the photo slides on the widely theme. It simply leaves a big empty space where the slide is supposed to be. Kindly help me.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

well now I do not know what happened, the big space got removed but the photo slide is yet beyond me!

I followed the instruction already, had the posts tagged, added a featured image. But it rather doubled the pictures than had them as a slide. Excuse my what I am doing wrong and help please.

Is it possible that you are embedding the same featured image into the post as well as setting it as a featured image?

The suggested size for featured images is 960 pixels wide and 490 pixels high.
If you enable the featured content slider, it will be displayed instead of your custom header.

I have tried to trim down the images, but the feature image editor keeps approximating. The best dimensions I get is 960 x 720. It does not allow you to give specific dimensions like in the main post editor. I am at loss as what to do next.

And by enabling featured content slider, I guess you mean ticking it on the “show on screen” pane of the screen options? I did.
