Widen site page and size

    Hi

    I’ve just volunteered to take over my local Camera Club’s website, which has a premium theme subscription. We are using the Photography theme.

    The website only takes up about 1/3 of my laptop screen and the text is small and hard to read. I’d like it to fill about 3/4 of the screen and for the text size to be larger.

    Is it possible to widen the page width from its current 601 to, say, 750 and the right column to 250? (we want to keep the 2 column layout).

    Also is there an easy way to increase the text size by just a point or two?

    Sorry if this has been asked before but this is all fairly new to me. I’ve only done basic WordPress.com before and not CSS customization.
