Widening the content display in twenty ten theme

    Hi,

    I am trying to set up a shopping cart but I want it to show four products across. In order to do that, I need to widen the container that the cart is in and I can’t seem to do it correctly. I’ve tried updating the pixels in the places that made sense in the CSS but nothing works. Anyone that can offer advice? Thank you!

    Hi @elisabethspearson, I’m not seeing any WordPress.com site associated with your username. Is your site perhaps self-hosted and not hosted here at WordPress.com?

    If your site is self-hosted, I would suggest posting in the Twenty Ten Support Forum at WordPress.org.

    If you had included a link to your site, I would have taken a quick look at things for you, but I did take a quick peek at the demo site and this would be a good place to start.

    #access .menu-header, div.menu, #colophon, #branding, #main, #wrapper {
        margin: 0 auto;
        width: 940px;
    }

    If you are using a header image, you will also need to change the default width in the theme files.

    If you have not yet done so, I would suggest creating a child theme so that any customizations you make will not be overwritten by a future theme update.
