  How do I get the sidebar widget to work? It does not show up on the screen after I have added my widgets.

  Hi there,

  It could be some browser issue. I would suggest you to clear browser cache. https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
  Close the browser once you clear the cache. Open a new browser window and login.

  Try adding widget again by following steps:
  – Go to My Sites > Themes > Customize > Widgets > Sidebar
  – Click on Add Widget
  – Select a widget and add
  – Click Save & Publish

  Let me know if the issue still persists. Also, mention the widget you were trying to add to the sidebar.

  @kwabeaskitchen: I see you switched themes from Sela to Pique since writing in.

  If you added widgets to Pique’s sidebar, then they wouldn’t have been visible on the front page. Pique’s front page has a special design that doesn’t include the sidebar widgets. You’d be able to view widgets in the footer or on individual posts/pages with Pique though.

  I’m seeing your sidebar widgets on the front page now that you’ve switched to Sela.

  Thank you for your responses. Changed to a new theme and loving the new theme. Wasn’t sure which one I wanted but finally decided on one. Thanks again for the feed back.
