Widget: Adding a video to my sidebar
-
This message keeps appearing when I try to add the url for the youtube video I want to add in my sidebar: ‘Sorry, we can’t load the video at the supplied URL. Please check that the URL is for a supported video file (.mp4, .m4v, .webm, .ogv, .flv) or stream (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo).’ How do I fix this?
The link to the video is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75ymTyZgwco&t=8s
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I was able to insert that video as well as other YouTube videos using the Video widget. Can you please please clear your browser’s cache and try again:
If this still doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

I went and cleared the cache, then went to the sidebar and clicked added widgets and scrolled down to video. Clicked add link and then this pops up again “Sorry, we can’t load the video at the supplied URL. Please check that the URL is for a supported video file (.mp4, .m4v, .webm, .ogv, .flv) or stream (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo).”

Hi there,
There is currently a bug that prevents videos to be added to the video widget via URL. Please add a text widget instead, and past the Youtube video link on its own line in that widget, and it should work.

Just an update that this should be fixed now, so you should again be able to add a Youtube video to the video widget itself.
