Widget bar has changed and its impossible to use

Can anyone help me with this? My dashboard keep changing eventhough I have not tried to change it in the past because I was happy with the way it was in its original state. Im using theme 2012 and when I go to the dashboard and click widget, gone is the normal widget page where you could easily drag and drop, remove and reattach things to your side bar. Instead now when you click on widget there is a wide long drop down page with the widgets appearing one by one underneath and you cannot add anything to the sidebar anymore, you only can remove and delete widgets. Does anyone know how this happen? because the last time I used the widget bar it was in its original form but now it has changed and Im now finding it impossible to use

There’s no known issue I am aware of.
In order to help you we need to know your specific computing environment details. Please work through what follows and report back.
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

5. Try using another browser.
