widget copy, cut, paste
-
There was a topic already, its now “closed” but “not resolved”
The problem is still there, at least i experience the following:
Using WP Version 2.3.2 om Windows XP Home, IE 7 (javascript enabled)
Environment is apachefriend XAMPP, no proxy for local internet
The Problem:
I drag a text widget to my sidebar and klick on the options icon (BTW: First time I click on the options icon of any widget – nothing happens, the page just flickers like a very fast page reload). So I click (again) on the options icon of my text widget an type some text in.
From this point i cannot: select text (or, in other words, highlight text), not by mouse, not by shift+arrow key, not by ctrl+a or ctrl+pos1 or the like.
Since theres no selected text, i cannot copy, cut or delete text accept one character backwards. The context menu entries cut and copy are disabled/ greyed. The context menu entry “select all” is enabled, but wouldnt work at all (as with ctrl+a).
This applies to the title input field as well as the text textarea field.
What I can: I can put the cursor into either field and type text including backspace or delete. I can paste text into the cursor position. Using firefox everything is fine.Is there any solution accept BrowseHappy?
I’m developing a blog for a customer, can’t tell him to switch to firefox.
I know there are some people out there having the problem since as far back as september 2007, not solution yet?
Please help me. Thank you. -
