Widget customization and archive as sub menu

  Team, I would like to move my widgets on the side bar to the main page, is it possible on wordpress.com? Also can I make archives as sub menu instead of showing it as a widget. I am using Yoko theme and it does not have a footer widget. How can i create a footer. Thanks

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately what you are asking dramatically changes the design of the theme. The widgets were designed to be in the sidebar for most themes so you wouldn’t be able to change that. As for a footer widget, you can search for other theme that are designed to have one:

  http://theme.wordpress.com

  As for archives as a sub-menu, that wouldn’t be possible, but a work around would be categorizing your posts by month, and adding a categories page to your menu. You can see specific instructions here:
