widget / customizing widget?
-
I’m trying to create a widget? or something where I link 5 of my most popular post, where I choose the order. I’ve tried to do this with with a custom menu and can not get it to work?

Did you end up sorting this out? I see a top posts and pages widget in your sidebar now. If you’re stuck on anything specific can you let us know the details of where you’re running into trouble with the custom menu widget?

I want to create a sidebar with ‘favorite’ posts, not the most clicked on that day, how do I make a custom sidebar widget where I choose which page links are included, I don’t want them to be chosen. I tried to do this with a custom menu but it put new header tags up top and made a mess of my 3 original header tags, home – about – contact.
Thanks,

Could you explain this a little further? How do I make a link widget? How do I get the links to appear in the sidebar column?
Thank YOU!

You’ll add the Links to the Links section of your blog’s Dashboard, then at Appearance -> Widgets drag the Links widget to your sidebar area.

I’ve tried this and when I press add link, I have no idea where it went? How do I get the link into the apperance widget section, I assumed when I hit ‘add link’ it would go there but it does not?
Is there a video tutorial about this or other functions?
Thanks,

Well, now you need to go to Appearance -> Widgets in your Dashboard and drag the Links widget to your sidebar area.

These are all of the other links in the Links section. You might want to delete those first, then add your own.
