widget dd menu for posts (not by month)

  hi – I would like a sidebar widget that will be titled ALL POSTS and will have a drop down list displaying each post title. I tried doing this via custom menu but it displayed a static list and there was no drop down option like three is for the categories widget for the sidebar. Thanks for any help on this.

  As far as I know, there is no widget like that on wp.com. The archives widget works in a text widget on your sidebar (post or page), but there is no “drop-down” option.

  With the archive shortcode in a text widget, you can set it up to show as a dropdown.

  The one thing to remember though is that dropdowns only work well for about 25 or less items. Once you get to a place where you have over that, the list becomes to difficult to navigate (overwhelming to the visitor).
