widget – del.icio.us
-
I tried drag and drop del.icio.us widget in the sidebar box and it doesn’t show up anywhere in my Quentin theme blog. Did I miss something?

You need to have a delicious account and put your account address in the widget. It’s not an “add this to delicious” kind of widget, it’s basically just a link to your page there as far as I understand it.

Done. All I did was drag and drop del.icio.us to the sidebar box and save it. Then I clicked the del.icio.us box inner top right corner to activate it.
Thank you.
One more thing, could I do the same thing with Digg but I don’t see any widget that bear it’s name?

No, and there isn’t.
Well, there IS a Digg widget, but it doesn’t go in the sidebar; it goes in the posts. You can see it in my blog here.
It only applies to that specific post. Best not to put it on every post, but when you have one you think is worth it, go ahead and drop it on there. Then people just click on it to Digg that post.
To do it you Digg the post yourself, and get the URL of the unique Digg page for that article. Copy it (the URL). Then edit your blog post, putting in this code:
[digg=URLofthepostatDigg]Then, when you save the post it will come out just like that widget. And when people Digg it by using that widget, the number changes. If they Digg it through other means, I don’t think the number changes, but I could be wrong about that.

Thanks you for your information, it helps.
A few days ago, when I first set up my first WP blog, I experimenting it with different themes, adding/deleting catagories, going through forums, etc., it took me about 2 hours all together, so far.Not bad.
