Widget ID for Twitter
-
The Widget ID for Twitter keeps disappearing when I hit “save.” I have typed my widget ID several times and every time I hit save it disappears and the Twitter feed is not displaying.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I know that’s really frustrating. It sounds like our system is detecting an error in your Widget ID. Can you copy the entire link and send it to me? You can put it in a draft post and I’ll be able to take a look.

This is the widget id I have been trying to use:
[twitter-timeline id=476838711766708224 username=@magistrabeck]
Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks for the info! It looks like the issue is that you don’t need the ‘@’ sign in your username. If you add this code to your post or widget, you should see your timeline now:
[twitter-timeline id=476838711766708224 username=magistrabeck]If you’re using the Twitter Timeline Widget, you just need to add the ID number to the Widget.
Let me know if you’re still having trouble with that!

I copied and pasted what you wrote above and it still won’t work. As soon as I click “save” it erases it.

I got to the dashboard, then the widget, then the Facebook Timeline. There is a box that says “widget id” and that is where I am trying to paste it.

The Twitter feed still isn’t working. Any other suggestions? When I paste the link in the “widget id” and click “save” the link disappears.

Hi there!
I think I understand the issue now. In order for your Twitter timeline to appear, you need to paste only the ID number (not the entire code) into the Twitter Timeline Widget, not the Facebook Timeline Widget.
Does that clear things up? Let me know if I can help with anything else!
