Widget Image CSS Customization
-
Hello, i am using the Forever theme & i would like to know if there’s a snippet for the following. On my widget sidebar, the widget titles have a blue background with white text, i been editing most of my CSS codes with a PC so the text & the image align using margin: 0 5px 0 0 !important; but when checking on a Mac the title & the image don’t align. I tried using margin: 0 4px 0 0 !important; on a mac & it aligns but when i check on the PC is not aligned. is there a snippet to make the title & the image align in both PC & Mac?
As of now i used margin: 0 4px 0 0 !important; in a Mac so that code is saved & if you check on the Mac it will look aligned but not the same thing on the PC. Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not seeing any misalignment on my Mac on the sidebar widgets. I see you have the right margin at 4.5px and left, top and bottom at 0.
Are you talking about the sidebar or the footer widget area?

I had 4px but I fixed it to 4.5px and now it works perfectly.
But I do have another request similar, the blue background text on the slider is 100% on width. On the PC that blue background text looks completely side to side but on a Mac it looks a little bit that is not 100% from the right and it also doesn’t look identical to the left side meaning that it doesn’t have the white border before the picture and the background text. The right side just looks like the picture ends the line with no white border as the left side but on the PC it looks perfectly the way am describing it. I hope I make sense and hopefully you can see the issue on your Mac. Thanks

Hi, I’m not sure I’m understanding. Can you take a screenshot from the PC and the Mac showing what you are seeing and upload and link to them somewhere, or put them in your media library and I can take a look?

I just uploaded the screen shot to my media library and it was taken from a Mac. If you can zoom in, the right side of the slide doesn’t look identical as the left side. I would would like to look identical since on the PC it does look identical to the way the Mac looks on the left side with the white line before the pic.

Hi there, this is what I see when viewing your site main page in Safari Version 7.1 (9537.85.10.17.1) on my Mac: https://cldup.com/6OPIlnr_dq-2000×2000.png.
In Firefox on my Mac, Version 32.0.3, I see virtually the same thing. There is perhaps a 1px difference between the left and right sides of the image.
You can try ever so slightly narrowing the featured content image. Find the following rule in your CSS and replace the width (is 100%) with 99.3% and see what you think. I checked using that value in Safari and it still looks the same, but it makes things equal in Firefox.
#featured-content img { width: 99.3%; }Make sure and check on the PC also to make sure it doesn’t cause things to go awry there.

Ok i will do it like that, thank you very much!
I have another snippet request if possible. I am planning on using the 4 posts in columns below the slider using the Posts in Columns from the theme options. So i was wondering if it’s possible to do the 4 posts in columns identical to the Chronicle theme? i have a screen shot on my media library so you can see how it looks like on that theme. Thanks
