widget image link disappears

  I’ve created image widgets in the past as you can see on blog, but every time I try to insert image for my new ebook it disappears. The image is in my media library. I have tried long and short link. I have also tried uploading image first before link to when image is clicked. For the 2nd wkend in a row my home page has stated “Please configure the Image widget in your widget settings.” I asked for help last wkend.
