  I’ve never been able to upload and install widgets or tools that I’ve downloaded off your site. Please help!

  We cannot upload and install anything on wordpress.COM; we have no FTP access. The only widgets we can use are found on your dashboard—>appearance—>widgets. You simply drag and drop them into your sidebars.

  The text widget can be used for html code, but beware: there are some tags which are forbidden and will be stripped out.

  Also note that there are different kinds of wordpress and it’s possible that you are talking about widget you found for wordpress.ORG
