Widget is not allowing removal
-
I have completely removed the Archive widget from my blog. Somehow, however, it refuses to go away and is now interfering with the chat widget in the sidebar. I have gone through the forums, all of the settings via Widgets and Customize. For all appearances, in the background it seems to have been removed but when I ‘View Site’, it is on the page. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What you are probably seeing is the theme’s default set of widgets. If you want to “remove” all widgets, add a blank text widget to the widget area.
If that didn’t solve your issue, you can add the MODLOOK tag to the forum thread’s Tags section in the sidebar on the right to receive Staff assistance.

Thank you for the information I tried the blank text and it didn’t help. I have added the modlook tag as you suggestion. Thanks so much!

Just to confirm, is this on spotlightartandartists.wordpress.com? I don’t see an archive widget there.

This is only showing on my post page: https://spotlightartandartists.wordpress.com/meet-the-artists/ but it a private blog so I’m not sure you can see it with the link.

I’m able to see the site because I’m staff. I found the ‘widget’ … you actually have some HTML for a widget copied into this post, along with some other unnecessary HTML:
https://spotlightartandartists.wordpress.com/2015/09/20/cynthia-silveri/Go ahead and edit the post, click on the HTML tab, and remove the HTML before and after your post, since that HTML should automatically be added for you.

Thank you very much. I didn’t realize that her post had that code in there. I really appreciate everyone’s help in trying to identify the problem. Have a great day!
