widget is not appearing

  Hi I am new in logging. My site is
  http://www.onelifemillionshades.wordpress.com
  I am using RyU theme and want to add text widget. after going appearance-widget-text widget
  I have tried to add text widget. first of all the place option showing is widget area one/two and three, not side bar or anyplace.
  anyway I put the widget in widget area one but it is not visible in my blog site

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Your selected theme (Ryu) does not support sidebar so you can’t add widgets to it.

  There’s a “Top Widget Area One” where you can place the text widget, but it will only be visible when you click the options/menu button that is next to the search icon on top of the page.

  Hi Ehtis thanks a lot for replying and clarifying the situation. I am still little confused. wI want to add a copyright notice to my site. Therefore I want to add text widget. How can I add it?
  when I am clicking theoptions/menu button that is next to the search icon on top of the page, I can see only categories.

  Do you have the Premium plan? if not, you may try adding the copyright notice in a text widget, but under your current theme it won’t be visible unless someone specifically opens the menu.

  In the Customizer, add a text widget to ‘Top Widget Area One’ and don’t forget to ‘Save & Publish’. Currently you only have the categories widget added.
