Widget is overriding ‘Front Page’

I am having an issue with what I believe is a widget overriding the contents of a page I’m trying to use as my homepage. The page in question (Home) is selected in the Homepage dropdown (via Settings > Reading) and shows with the “Front Page” designation in the list of Pages. Selected Layout = No Sidebar Full Width.

In the past, I setup a widget under the Front Page: Content Top Section to provide a blog style post on my homepage. I had “Front” selected under “Show on checked pages“. This worked fine.

What I’m trying to do now is go back to a static page without this widget. I have attempted to remove this in two ways:

    1. I uncheck “Front”
    2. I removed the “TG: Featured Post (Style 1)” widget from the sidebar

My static homepage doesn’t show up, it’s just a blank content area, below is an example of what is visible when I do both of the above:

How do I get the contents of my page (Home) to show up instead of this widget? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As a test, I duplicated the page (call it Home2). When I preview the page and it doesn’t have the “Front Page” designation, the page shows as it should.
