Widget isn't showing up

Hi! I have been trying to get a widget to show up for a while now. I contacted the host, after the text they sent me didn’t work, and they pretty much just sent me the same text.
This is the code:
Anybody know what the problem is?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
That code appears to be incomplete. I suspect it will be a JavaScript code that cannot be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs though. Please post the entire and complete code here between backticks so I can confirm my suspicion or rule it out. The backtick ` not to be confused with the single quote mark ‘ is located to the left of the number 1 key in lower case under the tilde ~ on most keyboards.backtick

Oops! Forget it please. I just did a search and I was right. You cannot use that code because it’s Javascript and will be stripped out for security reasons. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-add-foodie-blogroll-widget?replies=12

Ok. I thought maybe it was Java but since I did not see the word in the code I thought maybe they were giving me wordpress code. That’s the second code they have given me. Hmm.

Java and JavaScript are not the same thing. Suffice to say that if it’s an affiliate blogroll that you get any sort of $ kickback from that’s a go no here at WordPress.com. Affiliate links are not allowed.

Right! I went to the site in question and my second guess was also right on.

Oh. I’ve seen a lot of .wordpress.com members on there. I assumed the publishers thing was for other blogs. Ok. Nevermind then.
