Widget missing from front page only

My blog is not displaying the widgets, sidebar items, when you go to my blog homepage. When you click on a post, they show, or when you click on a tab, they show.
I also have recent posts not being displayed. You can ‘search’ for them and they will come up. But, scrolling through the home screen, they are missing.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,
The content of both sidebar widget areas is missing from the single post Weekly Deals for July 21, while the widgets appear on the later post Pointed Happy Birthday.

This discrepancy suggests that an HTML error, such as a stray tag, in the content of the “Weekly Deals” post is responsible for the absence of the widgets on that single post page, and on your homepage because it contains that post. As a test, try changing the status of that post to draft temporarily, and then check to see if that change results in the reappearance of the sidebar widgets on the homepage.

See the HTML Troubleshooting support page for suggestions as to how to locate and fix any HTML errors.

    Correction: “post page” = “post”

Thanks very much! This was an ‘oh, duh, why didn’t I think of just doing that…’

You’re welcome. It’s a fairly common issue with WP.com sites, but the cause and the solution aren’t immediately obvious. Happened to me more than once.
