Widget Not Showing Up
-
I’m having trouble with adding this widget code in the sidebar using html/text widget.
<iframe frameborder=’0′ scrolling=’yes’ src=’https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-battle-for-oz/widget/card’ width=’220′ height=396 ></iframe>
May I know why it’s not showing? Even if it can’t be shown on the sidebar, could I add it in a post instead? I need help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From the Create Your Own Widget support page:
Why doesn’t my widget work?
Sometimes you might find a widget or badge for your blog that we don’t offer here on WordPress.com. The easiest way to use it is to copy the HTML for the widget and paste it into a plain Text widget. However, you might find that the code you’ve pasted into the widget is automatically stripped out when you save, and the widget doesn’t display.
This is likely because the code contains an iframe, Javascript, Flash, or some other type of code that’s stripped out on WordPress.com for security reasons.
If that happens, you can go back to the site that you got the widget from, and look for an alternate ‘plain HTML’ widget. If the service offers one, usually there will be some language along the lines of “Animated widget didn’t work? Try our HTML version.”

There are code restrictions on WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot post iframe codes on WordPress.COM blogs for security and stability reasons. Sorry but that code is a no go here. The software will strip it out. The same is true of JavaScript codes and all advertising codes as well.

I’m sure I heard any echo this time.

A badge is an image and muscidoc1 will provide a workaround for you without the fundraising advertising code linked to it in the iframe.

I see you’ve got the image “https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-battle-for-oz/widget/card’ width=’220′ height=396” in a widget, and it’s linked to https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-battle-for-oz?referral_code=1b8b755c. Are you satisfied with this result, or do you want further assistance on this issue?
…could I add it in a post instead?
Linking an image in a post or page to an external page is quite easily done. Let us know if you would like help with that.

I should have said cropped version of the image “https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-battle-for-oz/widget/card.”
