Widget Option is Absent
-
I was instructed that if I direct myself to Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets, I will find an option to add widget. I went to Dashboard>Appearance, but I do not have a widget option under appearance. Help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You won’t see it unless you are the Admin of the blog. Mere editors and authors don’t get that option.

Except that an Editor / Author will not have the “Appearance” option – so I am a bit confused

You’re welcome.
If you had the Custom Design upgrade you would be able to add a copyright notice next to the footer credits via CSS editing. Without the upgrade, a Text widget is the only way. So, if this important to you, you need a different theme. All themes except Timepiece and Sidekick support widgets.
