Widget Option Not Showing up

  Hi There,

  I am trying to add a code from Networked Blogs to claim my wordpress blog. It says to add a widget from the Appearance section within the dashboard. However I don’t have any option showing for the widget. Can you help please?

  Your chosen theme does not support widgets.

  I’d recommend temporarily switching to a theme that does, like Twenty Twelve. You can add the code via a Text widget.

  Once they verify you, you can switch back to Shelf.

  Thanks for the revert Macmanx.

  I am not a technical person so pardon the next question- will there be a problem in switching back to the Shelf theme if I was to switch to the Twenty Twelve theme to install the text widget?

  No, there won’t be any problem. Just choose the desired themes from the Appearance section of your blog’s Dashboard. :)
